Why don't zombies eat other zombies?

Zombies eat brains, yet they have no brains to be eaten. Simple. LOL

So the premise is that in order to become a zombie, you must have your brain eaten by another zombie, and therefore you are immune from further zombie predation? Interesting.

Well, in most lore, the zombie feeds off of warm, living flesh. If you really look at it, they don't eat each other for the same reason you don't eat the moldy ham that's been sitting in the back of your fridge for weeks. Well, that's correct and wrong. Not only is the very idea a less than stellar scenario, but you also have a biological weakness to food poisoning; for them, I would venture it's merely an aesthetic thing.

Also, the two biggest explainations for zombies eating at all are:

1. They feel some primal hunger that's a throwback to their living days.
2. Despite being dead (or a similar state), they still need something out of fresh meat; and whatever disease/curse that afflicts them destroys that compound or essence, so they'd get nothing out of it by eating each other.

Besides, if the zombies ate each other to "death," again, the characters would have nothing to fear. ;)

According to some movies and comics I have read, the Zombie finds the taste of Zombie flesh repulsive, which if you buy into the thoery that Zombism is caused by a contageon, makes sense in an evolutionary biology kind of way.
