Yeah.... They give you the simple version first and then break it to you slowly how everything you've learned before isn't quite right or is actually pretty far off the mark, because they didn't want to confuse you.

Adding things in like "in theory" or "in principle" or "by definition" would fix that one. Because they're just looking for the qualifying distinction between sexual and asexual reproduction. Mutations are just frills for 8th grade level.
