I always go from these huge ass long entries to these little short entries.
Dan actually has a great voice. It's funny that I've never heard him sing before today.
Speaking of great voices, one of the painters who's been in the house lately has a really interesting voice, but I've never actually laid eyes on him. So it's a little weird.
Just had a poking war with Steve. It was fun, but it made me forget what I actually started this entry to say.
Oh, now I remember. I sort of drew Kaitlyn and Liz having sex today. It would have turned out a lot better if I hadn't started it in pen. So it's all in pencil except the body frameworks are in pen so it looks a little weird. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get rid of them because I drew it on yellow paper. I guess if we get the scanner working again I can just scan it in black&white and take out the pen lines.
Actually, I tried to do it twice, but I'm not finished with the second one. I'm not entirely happy with the first one besides those pesky frameworks. There's something seriously wrong with my perspective in the second one, I suspect, because I periodically attempt poses that are far beyond my ability to represent accurately. Especially because the focus of the second one is a particular expression of Liz's that I knew I'd never get right when I started it. But I needed to draw something.
It's hot, though. But I should probably stop being such a freak.
Steve and Kristin are upstairs making tea. I may go commandeer some. This really isn't a very welcoming group. I miss my Freedom people.
Aaaand I miss you. But you knew that.

Cute girl update, lol.
May. 28th, 2006 01:35 amCute Girl's bag is right near where I'm sitting, so she periodically comes over and rummages around in it. She's rummaging and putting on a sweatshirt. Ah, getting out another book. She's got her hair pulled back now.
I wish I could just go up to people and be like "hey, I don't know you, but hi."
She's talking to someone in a hammock on her way back to her chair. It's Steve's hammock but Steve is upstairs, so I don't know who's in it now.
Everyone's playing Unreal Tournament, but I don't know how to play and I don't want to play badly enough to learn. Well, Kristin and Steve are still upstairs and I think Mike is still up there with them.
I could get used to this laptop thing. I definitely need me one of these.
See, and I just miss you even more, because you would just go up and say hi and she'd totally fall for you too. :P

Sleepless in Ridgefield
May. 28th, 2006 06:35 amIt's 6:30AM and I haven't been to sleep yet.
I'm 3/4s through a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. Someone's listening to George Carlin. Come people are gone, some people are asleep.
And I wish I could listen to the Wicked soundtrack, but Nat must have bought it because I can't get it over the LAN. So, I'll listen to Defying Gravity 'cause it's the only one that works. I want to read and see Wicked again. I also want the soundtrack. The CDs from Kristi didn't come before I left, I really hope school'll send them on. God, I wish I could sing like these women. I'm not a soprano though, and I don't have the control or the support to sing like that. If I bothered to train myself...
My parents will probably not be pleased that I didn't sleep at all. I'm not sure whether there are still five girls here. I see Nat, Liz, Kristin, I think Lydia is still here? That's only four. Stephen's sister counts, right? And I think there was another girl here too. I'm sure they're around somewhere. I think the situation is probably moot at a quarter to seven.
I don't know what the hell that smell is but it's something from Choate. Is it those trees? Those trees are also along Walker Avenue. It really threw me when they were in bloom earlier. Is it that one bush? Is it something from someone's room? I have no idea and it's driving me nuts.
I really need something to do.

Movies list
May. 28th, 2006 07:05 amMovies I want to see:
1. Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest (Johnny, Keira, and Bill. Enough said.)
2. Kinky Boots (Come on! Chiwetel Ejiofor as a drag queen!)
3. Thank You For Smoking (This just looks hilarious. And it has Rob Lowe in it, however briefly.)
4. Take the Lead (I love dancing movies. And it's Antonio Banderas, even though it's my mother that really likes him.)
5. Art School Confidential (It's quirky, it looks funny, it's got cute girls and a cute guy, and it has John Malkovich.)
6. Happy Feet (I can't believe I have to wait until November to see this movie.)
7. Stick It (Come on, it looks cool. And Missy Peregrym is hot.)
8. Superman Returns (Kevin Spacey rocks my world, even though I'm not sure he's really a Lex Luthor. Frank Legella's getting old, but he is teh awesome.)
Movies I kind of want to see but I'm not sure if it's worth it:
1. UltraViolet (It's flashy and colorful, Catherine Zeta is hot, it looks like it has some decent action scenes...but it doesn't seem to have much of a plot or character development and I've heard that it really sucks. It's a dilemma.)
2. IdleWild (I don't know. It could be good.)
Movies which the previews are definitely all I need to see of them:
1. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (Saw the trailer at X-III. It was a good trailer, some really cool effects, but I do not need to see this movie.)
2. How to Eat Fried Worms ("Based on the book" my ass. The book is wonderful, and that movie's going to suck.)
3. United 93 (I already know the ending.)
You know what's odd? Cameron Bright bears a bizarre resemblance to Nicholas Hoult. Bright is in Stargate, Thank You For Smoking, and X-men III, and Hoult is in About A Boy and The Weatherman. When I saw X-men III and the trailer for Smoking, I thought it was Hoult. They've got the same mouth, the same freckles, the same facial structure, the same expressions. They're just totally unrelated.
I'm sure there are others, but it's about 7 of 8, I've been doing this for an hour, and people seem to be packing up. Then again, everyone else has a fuckload more stuff than I do.
A couple of hours ago I was totally pwning at Yahoo Graffiti. Speaking of graffiti, cool link: Graffiti.org.
It's 8AM and I wish I'd been cuddling with you all this time instead of doing pretty much nothing. But you already knew I missed you.

The morning after
May. 28th, 2006 05:06 pmI slept from about 8 to 11, Dan drove me home, then I slept until about five minutes ago. I feel like I got hit in the face with a sandbag. I don't know what I was thinking. Adrenaline, insomnia, and caffeinated soda. It wasn't bad, though, it was pretty good. I'm just exhausted. All in all there were over twenty people there at some points. Played some frisbee early in the evening but I can't believe how much worse I'm throwing after a couple of weeks off practice.
And somehow the home computer was shut down or shut itself down sometime last night. I guess I should've realized when I signed onto AIM Express and it didn't tell me I was signed in two places. If anyone left me any messages between six and whenever I signed off, I didn't get them. Also, if you tried to talk to me between twelve and one, there was something wrong with AIM Express and I don't know if I was even signed in or whether any messages just fell through the hole.
Now we're going to a barbecue at John's girlfriend's house. I guess I'll sleep in the car. They had Evelyn's prom last night, so I'll get to see pictures if my brother didn't get my camera stolen.
I need to get me a Macbook Pro. I don't know my way around Mac OS as easily as Windows, because the last time that I spent any consistent time on Macs was grade school, but it shouldn't be that hard to learn. The Ctrl+click stuff is kind of annoying but if I get a wireless mouse that problem is solved. I don't know if I want the monitor or not, because the Macbook Pro comes in 15" and 17" and I was originally going to get the monitor with a 12" Powerbook. The 15" isn't heavy at all and I think it might fit in my bag, which would be convenient. I could just get a slipcover like my brother has for his to keep it cushioned/unscratched.
I won't be able to play any of the Windows games we've accumulated over the years but I don't really play them that much these days anyway, and if I really need to I can work something out. Or, since when I get mine we'll all have laptops, we can clean out this computer or mine and just use it for games.
I still want to get the tablet, but I would also need a nice art program because my illegal copy of Photoshop 7 that I've had all these years is for Windows. Although...no, Wacom tablets come with some art software, good. The Intuos is really nice but I probably don't really need it. I'd probably get the Graphire. The smallest one is $100, the larger one is $200. We'll see.
Anyway, I'm hungry and exhausted and I had really bizarre dreams last night that I wish I could remember. I also might have tracked down the cute girl on Facebook, but if it is the same girl, she's a sophomore at RHS...lol.
