She got an 84.25, I got a 74.45.

The first time I took it, sophomore year (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] novawolf, [livejournal.com profile] nimue9, [livejournal.com profile] veganstastebest, [livejournal.com profile] mialamu, [livejournal.com profile] kamili, and [livejournal.com profile] epilo) I had a 94.something. On my birthday that year I had a 92.something. Then I went down to somewhere in the 80s. I think the last time I took it, which was possibly earlier this year I was a 79.something.

I remember sitting in on [livejournal.com profile] etherealagent's first time. A 98.25, I think. I was amused.

My score didn't really go down that much even given new developments because I'm still an alcohol, drug, and Rocky virgin, and I haven't had sex in any creative locations, which are sizable portions of the test.

Our internet was out this morning. Mom called Comcast and was like "help!" Then we realized that she'd unplugged the router to plug in her laptop.

Today I will mostly be getting ready for camp but I'll stop by.

P.S. An account of the bits of the weekend I left out of LJ will soon be available upon request to participants, 'cause Chole asked me to write it and Chole's awesome. ;P

I hate it when books I feel vaguely guilty about reading actually help me.

I went to the optometrist today. I got new glasses, after trying to decide among about ten pairs. The new ones are a lot like my old ones, except they're a little more rectangular and they're more purple and less brown. I also got contacts. I'm not sure how I feel about them.

See, I stumbled across a bag of my old contacts and I got the idea that I could wear them at camp and actually be able to see while swimming. But the contacts I have expired in 2003. So I was going to the optometrist anyway to check my prescription, so I asked about contacts. Apparently you're not supposed to wear them while you're swimming. So I don't know how useful they will actually be. I must say it's an interesting experience, picking out frames and being able to actually see them while I'm doing it. I've got a 14-use pair in, and the guy's going to mail me ten days of dailies to try during camp and see which ones I like better.

It's weird to not have anything on my face and be able to see. It's weird to be able to see my reflection without glasses. I'm not really sure I look good without glasses but I don't know if that's because I really don't or that it's been years since I've seen myself without them. I doubt I will keep this up permanently. I like my glasses. I don't understand all these Acuvue commercials that are like "finally, it's the real me!" I'll just try it at camp for awhile and see if it's worth anything.

We went out for dinner to an Indian place today for John's graduation dinner. I'd never had Indian food before. I had "Chicken Tikka Masala" with rice and a sort of garlic flatbread. It was pretty good. Dinner took forever though because the place was so slow. And there was a trio who'd been there as long as we had and they only got their food as we were almost ready to leave. I think two of them were lesbians. But we all know my gaydar is crap.

Guster is supposed to be on WFUV tonight but they're not here yet. I think they put them in the last section of the program to get people to listen to the beginning while they're waiting to hear the band. I <3 Guster.

Tomorrow I will probably be really busy because I have a train Saturday morning down to Baltimore for camp. I still have forms to fill out and stuff to pack. And now I have to go to bed.
